Mr. Serge Telle
Former Prime Minister of Monaco 2016-2020
Serge Telle, the Prime Minister of Monaco from 2016-2020, is a seasoned diplomat who joined the French Foreign Ministry in 1982. He worked in several French diplomatic Tanzania, the Permanent Mission of France to the United NaGons in New York, and the United NaGons Office in Geneva. Telle also served as Consul General (later Ambassador) of France to Monaco, French ambassador to the Union for the Mediterranean from 2008 to 2012, and interministerial delegate for the Mediterranean.
Mr. Telle has also held other key positions in the French government, including advisor to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, diplomatic advisor to Secretary of State for Humanitarian AcGon Bernard Kouchner and advisor to Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner from 2007 to 2008, technical adviser to the Prime Minister’s Private Office with responsibility for Africa and the Middle East. Before his Monaco premiership appointment, he was the president of the Agency for CiGes and Territories of the Mediterranean from 2011 to 2016.
Telle is a knight of the Legion of Honour and the NaGonal Order of Merit. He is also a commander of the Order of Saint Charles.
