Our Strategic Plan
Develop governments and the private sector’s capacity to identify and work with international development financing frameworks, and how to use them to mobilize resources critical for development.
- Enhance capacity development for both public and private sectors through training, brainstorming, and retreats for high-level policymakers. Focus on emerging innovative trends and investment opportunities in development.
- Do the necessary studies to make the project feasible and socially impactful.
- Include risk analysis in development planning and execution.
- Identify and collaborate with suitable DFIs and international investors to help government and private sector access specialized financing.
Our Profile
Over the last two decades, Africa's economy has grown impressively at over 5% annually. However, recent years brought unforeseen challenges for the region's 55 economies. The Center for African Development and Investment (CADI) supports economic transformation and inclusive development, assessing policy interventions at various levels to achieve these goals. Their aim is to contribute to Africa's steady and sustained economic growth and transformation.

CADI Advisory Board
CADI Advisory Board members are selected for their competence, interest, and knowledge; They bring with them a track record of excellence, expertise, and experience in the development and investment field in Africa and internationally. They share CADI’s values, mission, vision, and objectives, simultaneously contributing to a more developed, transformed, prosperous and inclusive Africa.
The overall role of the Advisory Board is to contribute to the achievement of CADI’s goals and objectives through:
- Helping CADI gain new insights and provide critical thinking and analysis.
- Providing a focus on topics of greatest strategic importance.
- Providing advice on CADI’s systems of risk management and internal controls.
- Providing guidance on the strategy, governance, and best use of allocated budget.
- Benefiting from their rich experiences and diverse geographical backgrounds, the Board members are also expected to raise awareness, conduct advocacy, and contribute to fundraising where needed.
- In the first meeting, the BOARD will provide guidance and advice on CADI’s strategic planning, operations, and instruments related to CADI core activities.

- CADI publishes development-focused materials, including an African Index on Development, Investment, and Risk Management, policy briefs, and alerts on economic transformation and inclusive development.
- CADI organizes workshops and events where African experts and policymakers share development experiences at continental, regional, and country levels.
- Examine current public finance management and resource mobilization strategies' efficacy and relevance.
- Provide customized capacity development programs for implementing Agenda 2063 and SDGs at all government levels.
- Offer custom training programs for entrepreneurs and policymakers to improve civil service institutions' efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with institutional investors to direct foreign investment towards SDG-contributing projects and organize joint conferences for sharing successful development experiences.
- Arrange workshops and seminars on strategic management, change management, entrepreneurship, and innovation for development interventions.
- Collaborate with market participants to establish common standards for assessing transactions with sustainable development impact.
- Launch an electronic portal for enhancing experience sharing on development successes across Africa.
